​Sarah Spearing teamed up with experienced Physiotherapist Katie Syrett to design and deliver Core Restore, a programme of deep, effective core and lower body exercises that will help achieve better posture, continence and pelvic form.

We run popular and friendly classes in the heart of Chorlton and have many happy customers who find that the challenging but effective exercises are just what they need to maintain healthy bodies.

We're changing Thursday's Core Restore!

Following feedback from our regulars, Katie and I have decided to make a couple of changes to the Core Restore classes on Thursdays. Firstly, we're changing venue to Chorlton Central Church from Thursday 28th February. The room is beautiful, peaceful (no nursery rhythms from the downstairs playgroup!) and totally accessible, meaning clients can wheel their pushchairs straight into the hall, without having to negotiate stairs. There's lots of free parking on Zetland Road.

Secondly, we're changing our 9.30am group to a 'drop-in class with a six week pass' system. It means better value for money for those of you who miss the odd week, and you don't have to commit to attending a straight six week block, just come to class when you can. We're hoping this means our regulars can keep on top of their core strength and back care and occasional attenders can also get their Core Restore fix! Drop into your first class, buy a six class pass with cash or card (£40) and use it when you like!

Remember: the Thursday class is for all abilities, including those with back issues and those recovering from abdominal surgery including hysterectomies. We ask that, if you would like to bring your baby to class,  you attend the 10.30am Post Natal classes on either Thursday or Friday.

​The Thursday 9.30am class is an all abilities class with a range of participants in attendance. We welcome those with back and mobility issues, hysterectomy recoverers, alongside those who are progressing and those who have a good base level of fitness but would like to continue to get stronger core muscles by practising more challenging exercises. Katie Syrett, Physiotherapist, is on hand for 1-1 advice but the pace and repetitions of the exercises can be increased to ensure progress in strength and stamina. Upper body and leg work are added into the programme. NB, given the nature of this group, we ask that you do not bring your baby to this session.

These classes are ideal for those looking to strengthen their pelvic floors, backs and stomach muscles. Consequently, lots of mums and their babies choose this class. The exercises are graded in difficulty so that you can choose an option that is right for you. Those with Diastasis Recti, Umbilical hernias, mild to moderate prolapse and post C Section women are all catered for (please let Katie and Sarah know of any issues you may have prior to the start of the class) but we also challenge those who are generally fit and well and ready to get back to full core fitness and strength!

We 
recommend you are 6 weeks post vaginal delivery or 10-12 weeks post Cesarian Section before commencing but are happy to discuss this with you. Please text, email or call if you'd like further guidance or clarification. Babies and toddlers are welcome to join you in their buggies, car seats, slings or hanging out on the communal mats!
